Is it Possible to Use the XRecordActivationDate to Calculate Record Retention from End of Calendar Year Instead Of DInDate? (Doc ID 2163510.1)

Last updated on MARCH 08, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content: Records - Version 11.1.1.9.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The Release Date (dinDate) field is not "valid" for our record retention disposition, since we often add items to the system after some time has elapsed. We want to use the Creation Date (xRecordActivationDate) metadata field to calculate retention from end of calendar year. Is this possible?

Below is a sample of our expected disposition, except using xRecordActivationDate as the trigger instead of dInDate:

Cutoff After End of Calendar Year
Wait for 50 Calendar Years Then Delete All Revisions (Destroy Metadata)
Then Delete Complete
