Exalogic: T3 Calls To WebLogic Server SDP Enabled T3 Channels Failing With "Destination unreachable" & "javax.naming.CommunicationException" Errors (Doc ID 2163731.1)

Symptoms

When running Weblogic version 10.3.4 and later on Exalogic environment (both virtual and physical), issue of t3 calls lookup to Managed servers t3 channel address failing with "Destination unreachable" is seen.

t3 channel configured for the Managed Server has SDP protocol enabled and IPoIB infiniband address is used as the channel address. Following is the error seen in logs when application tries to do t3 lookup to Managed Server t3 channel address.
