Goal

You are running Oracle Reports 12c on Windows. You have already set up Node Manager as a Windows service, but same cannot be done for standalone Reports Server.  You want to avoid having to manually start up a standalone Reports Server via startComponent.cmd command. 

You tried to schedule a task or put it in a batch script, but sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. The timing is off as it is dependent on when Node Manager service start up is completed.

How to automate the startComponent.cmd command for Standalone Reports Server 12c?
