Incorrect Usage Of af:inputFile With autoSubmit="true" And maximumFiles > 4

(Doc ID 2168490.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 09, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle JDeveloper - Version 12.1.3.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

While uploading multiple files (more than 4) with the setting autoSubmit="true", it was observed that all the files do not appear in the managed bean to inspect the value of the af:inputFile component.

For example, on uploading 5 files, below output is observed(3+1 files):
.
UploadBean.uploadValueChangeListener(): Files list size=3
UploadBean.uploadValueChangeListener(): LOOPING FILENAME: [patchsdk.jar]
UploadBean.uploadValueChangeListener(): LOOPING FILENAME: [Validation.jar]
UploadBean.uploadValueChangeListener(): LOOPING FILENAME:
[ValidationRules.jar]
UploadBean.uploadValueChangeListener(): Files list size=1
UploadBean.uploadValueChangeListener(): LOOPING FILENAME: [OsysModel.jar]

The af:inputFile component has the combination of autoSubmit="true" and maximumFiles>4 configured.  Is this combination of autoSubmit="true" and maximumFiles > X supported?
