Service Bus 12c sends back an HTTP 500 error code when the Business Service actually returned a 400 (Doc ID 2174863.1)

Symptoms

Configured restful and SOAP services in Service Bus.  When a client tries to send a bad request, Service Bus is sending an HTTP response status of 500  (an internal server error) even though it is getting a 400 Bad Request response from the backend service.

Is there a way to preserve the original error code in the response?
