Deploying Application Fails with java.lang.IllegalStateException: xxx Must be Called Before Reset (Doc ID 2175487.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 28, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 12.1.3.0.0 to 12.2.1.1.0 [Release 12c]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

During deployment of the application, below error is found:

java.lang.IllegalStateException: xxx must be called before reset
at weblogic.iiop.FragmentedInputStream.reset(FragmentedInputStream.java:283)
at weblogic.iiop.IIOPInputStream.reset(IIOPInputStream.java:398)
at weblogic.corba.idl.AnyImpl.write_value(AnyImpl.java:515)
at weblogic.corba.idl.AnyImpl.write_value(AnyImpl.java:400)
at weblogic.corba.idl.AnyImpl.create_input_stream(AnyImpl.java:553)
at com.XXXX.lxm.common.DAmountHelper.extract(DAmountHelper.java:25)

The same call works perfectly fine if the war file is deployed on Weblogic Server 11 or on any other Webserver (eg: Tomcat).
