Symptoms
On 11.1.1.8.0-2013-07-11 17:07:21Z-r106802 version, WebCenter Content Server
A default value was added to a custom field. Content checked-in after the change does not appear in search results.
STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Add default value in custom metadata field
2. Check in content
3. Search for content does not return the content
