Symptoms

Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 11g fails to start successfully after updating the SSL certificate.

After replacing SSL certificate for OID as they were about to expire, the oid instance does not start successfully.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new wallet and new certificate request.
2. Import the certificate into the wallet.
3. Change the wallet to be used by the oid instance to the new wallet name. The Non-SSL and SSL ports were not modified.

Attempting to view the server properties in Enterprise Manager (EM) Fusion Middleware (FMW) Control console returns error:

Failed to load server configuration. Check the Internet Directory Server logs. Possible Error: <OID_HOSTNAME>:<OID_LDAP_SSL_PORT>
