After installing the following patches for Cloud Adapter support on 12.2.1.0.0

22682253 - Enabling Cloud adapters
22698114 - UI sdk jars for Cloud adapter pack

A JDeveloper error occurs when dragging the Salesforce Adapter to the composite grid, forcing the JDeveloper Application to close.
