Display Of Any Numeric Fields Turns To Pound Signs (####) and/or FRM-40654 After Commit/Post In Forms 12c (Doc ID 2190303.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 06, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Forms - Version 12.2.1.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After migrating to Forms 12c, the display of any numeric fields turns to pound signs (####) after a commit or post when running any form.

Along with this behavior, you may even see error:

FRM-40654: Record has been updated. Re-query block to see change.

Problem started only after upgrading to Forms 12.2.1. The previous release worked fine.

The pound (#) sign issue goes away if you change the "DML Returning Value" property to "No".

Changes

 Upgrade to Forms 12c.
