Unable to Unexpire Content Listed on Expired Content Page. Get error: "You are not allowed to create, modify or browse item(s) under trash folder." (Doc ID 2190987.1)

Symptoms

Unable to unexpire content listed in the Expired Content page.  Get the following error when trying to update it from the content info page.  

"You are not allowed to create, modify or browse item(s) under trash folder."

 

This issue can be replicated by performing the following steps:

  1. In CS native UI, navigate to Expired Content page (Content Management -> Expired Content).
  2. Click on Content Info. 
  3. The folder information at the bottom of the page show that it's in someone's trash folder (e.g., "Users / testuser1 / Trash / {filename}"
  4. Select "Content Actions -> Update".  The error message below will be displayed.

 

Changes

 Installed or upgraded to UCM 12c.
