Can SynchronizeUserInformation Be Used To Refresh GUIDs Of Groups? (Doc ID 2191233.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 23, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Portal - Version 11.1.1.9.160719 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

We have moved our external LDAP from OID to AD following this note:

<note: 1556168.1> How to reassociate WebCenter With an External Identity Store (new ORCLGUID)

We can use the synchronizeUserInformation to re-map the user's GUIDs to the new objectGUID in AD, however we can see in the table WC_SPACE_USR_DETAIL that the groups are not changed - only the users are modified.

The mapping file created with the option operationType='RENAME_GUID_CREATE_MAPPING_FILE' only contains users, the question is,  should we manually add the groups to the mapping file and run synchronizeUserInformation to update the GUIDs of groups or is there another method we should be following?
