Application Deployment during the WebLogic Server Startup Takes Much Time in Annotation Scan (Doc ID 2194005.1)

Symptoms

Using WebLogic 12.1.3 running PeopleSoft web component and have training content (nearly 100 GB) NAS share mounted to domain "peoplesoft" ../PORTAL.war/Content folder.  WebLogic Server logs reported timeout errors during the server startup which took a very long time as the WLS was scanning the mounted content folder on NAS storage. The WebLogic server does boot up and can access the admin console, but the Web Application (PIA) does not come up. If you remove the Content folder from .../PORTAL.war, the Web Application (PIA) comes up. The content folder has 800 gb of data or files.
