Canon Scanners Stop Scanning After a Few Pages When "Scan ahead" is Enabled in the Enterprise Capture Client

Information in this document applies to any platform.
When scanning in the Enterprise Capture dc-client using a Canon scanner, the scanner stops scanning after a few pages when "Scan ahead" is enabled. If "Scan ahead" is disabled, the scanner will scan all of the pages, however the scanning speed will be significantly reduced.
Recently installed Capture 12c.
