Symptoms

After upgrading MS Exchange email server to Microsoft Exchange 2016, Task Approval emails are being rejected by Human Workflow with errors suggesting the NID is corrupted:

 

 

Changes

The issue described in this document will only affect users who send emails via a Microsoft Exchange server.

 

If the problem started to happen after the upgrade of MS Exchange email server to MS Exchange 2016, then the problem may be due a change in the default email Content-Transfer-Encoding from 7bit to Quoted-Printable (QP).
