Oracle Virtual Server x86-64

In Exalogic Virtual racks, issue is seen with some Guest vServers where EoIB network of Guest vServer does not work when one of the IB Switches is rebooted or brought down.

In this scenario discussed in this MOS Note, when GW01 is brought down or rebooted the EoIB network on Guest vServer does not respond until the GW02 switch is brought back UP.

VNICs status is shown as UP for the Guest vServer on both the IB Switches and the MAC addresses in the GW Switches shows the correct MAC address which matches the MAC address specified in vm.cfg file.
