Goal

How to use Oracle Virtual Directory (OVD) as source or destination of a Directory Integration Platform (DIP) synchronization profile?

How to use DIP to sync OVD to or from, for example, Oracle Unified Directory (OUD)?

 

Attempting to create the synchronization profile with OVD as the source and OUD as destination, the field "Source Details: Type" does not list Oracle Virtual Directory as a choice. Selecting "Generic LDAP" instead returns error:

DIP-85033 , oracle.dip.mbean.sync, The profile <profile_name> is not valid. It contains 2 errors.
The sync conDirType 'LDAP' is invalid orclodipvalidationerrors: INVALID_ATTRIBUTE_VALUE:orclodipcondirtype:LDAP
orclodipagentcontrol: DISABLE
