Migration from 11.1.1.6 to 12c results in a composite.xml without component wires between the references and components (Doc ID 2204145.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to migrate an 11g (11.1.1.6.0+) project to 12c, the following errors are logged and the migrated composite.xml does not have component wires between it's components:

"SEVERE: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Target port not found"

"Target port not found"

"SEVERE: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Source port not found"

"Source port not found"
