The Java Connector Server Doesn't Start as Windows Service (Doc ID 2205483.1)

Goal

The Java Connector Server doesn't start as windows service. Looking into <connector server home>\logs\service there's an error like:

[2013-02-04 13:11:24] [info] Debuging Service...
[2013-02-04 13:11:24] [info] Starting service...
[2013-02-04 13:11:24] [173 javajni.c] [error] %1 is not a valid Win32
application.
[2013-02-04 13:11:24] [898 prunsrv.c] [error] Failed creating java
c:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_39\jre\bin\server\jvm.dll
[2013-02-04 13:11:24] [1132 prunsrv.c] [error] ServiceStart returned 1
[2013-02-04 13:11:24] [info] Debug service finished.
[2013-02-04 13:11:24] [info] Procrun finished.
