ODI Execution Intermittently Hangs With "ORA-08103: object no longer exists" Error on Oracle 12c Database (Doc ID 2208070.1)

Symptoms

Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) executions intermittently fail when either the ODI Repositories, or the source or target Datasores are hosted on an Oracle 12c database, and the following error is observed in the ODI log file:
