Symptoms
On WebLogic Server 12.1.3, if the WebService Request header does not include "Accept: */*" it fails with the below error:-
If the extra header "Accept: */*" is included - the request is processed as expected.
This extra header was not required for requests in WLS 10.3.5 version.
At WLS Version 10.3.5 and earlier, if the client did not specify the previously-mentioned header, it would default to "Accept: text/html, image/gif, image/jpeg, *; q=.2, */*; q=.2".
