Unable to Run Collection Rebuild Because OracleText is Not Installed in Database (Doc ID 2209740.1)

The following message appears in CS native UI.

"ActiveIndex 'databasesearch.1' is not valid in indexer engine 'ORACLETEXTSEARCH'. Please rebuild your collection"

Tried rebuilding the collection, but received the following error message:

"Indexing aborted at 11/23/16 9:22 AM. Unable to create Oracle text collection 'IdcText1'. Encountered an exception while executing a query."


systemdatabase tracing revealed many "PLS-00201: identifier ... must be declared" messages for CTX_DDL.

systemdatabase/6 11.23 12:11:12.787 index rebuild work PLS-00201: identifier 'CTX_DDL.CREATE_PREFERENCE' must be declared
systemdatabase/6 11.23 12:11:12.787 index rebuild work ORA-06550: line 1\, column 7:
systemdatabase/6 11.23 12:11:12.787 index rebuild work PL/SQL: Statement ignored


Logged into DB as dba and discovered that CTX_DDL didn't exist.


Received message "The object CTX_DDL does not exist "
