OIDDAS for Oracle Access Manager (OAM) 11g Does not Show User Attribute After it has been Added (Doc ID 2214311.1)

Symptoms

OIDDAS for Oracle Access Manager (OAM) 11g Does not Show User Attribute After it has been Added ... - Problem With Configuration / User Entry

Steps to reproduce:

1. First verify in OID there is no <attribute>... in this case
orclpasswordhintanswer
cn=Attributes,cn=User Configuration,cn=Attribute Configuration,
cn=DAS,cn=Products,cn=OracleContext,dc=vm,dc=oracle,dc=com

no attribute called

2. Access OIDDAS
http://oam11gr2ps3.vm.oracle.com:7779/oiddas/

3. Select login and enter credentials (orcladmin/welcome1)

4. Click on Configuration tab
5. Click on User Entry
a. First Step (1-5) is ok ...click next
b. Click on Add new attributes. (2-5)
Choose :
Directory Attribute name : orclpasswordhintanswer
UI Label : Réponse
Check : required, viewable,searchable
Click Done
c. The new attributes appears. Click Next

6. 3 of 5 ... next

7. 4 of 5
a. move orclpasswordhintanswer over to selected attribute ... click next

8. 5 of 5 ... Click Finish

9. Click OK.

10. in OID Data Browser navigate to cn=Attributes,cn=User
Configuration,cn=Attribute Configuration, cn=DAS,cn=Products,cn=OracleContext
a. show all
b. we now see ... Distinguished
Name: cn=orclpasswordhintanswer,cn=attributes,cn=User
Configuration,cn=Attribute Configuration,
cn=DAS,cn=Products,cn=OracleContext,dc=vm,dc=oracle,dc=com

11. Access OIDDAS
http://oam11gr2ps3.vm.oracle.com:7779/oiddas/

a. Select login and enter credentials (orcladmin/welcome1)
b. Click on Configuration tab
c. Click on User Entry
d. First Step (1-5) is ok ...click next

* notice in the list of attribute we do not see orclpasswordhintanswer, yet it is in OID ....cn=orclpasswordhintanswer,cn=attributes,cn=UserConfiguration,cn=Attribute Configuration,cn=DAS,cn=Products,cn=OracleContext,dc=vm,dc=oracle,dc=com
