IOError 'Permission Denied' When Executing Jython Script through ODI (Doc ID 2214367.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to run a Jython script to write to a file, the following error is returned in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI):

ODI-1217: Session GENERATE_DW_DDL (1050056123) fails with return code 7000.
ODI-1226: Step Generate Incremental DW DDL fails after 1 attempt(s).
ODI-1232: Procedure Generate DW DDL execution fails.
Caused By: org.apache.bsf.BSFException: exception from Jython:
Traceback (most recent call last):
 File "", line 15, in
IOError: (13, 'Permission denied', 'file/path/name.out')

The output file is not written to the file system.

Changes

A new location is specified in the script, or the script is executed on a different ODI Agent than that which was used previously.
