Intermittent High CPU Performance Issue on Weblogic with sun/misc/URLClassPath.findResource (Doc ID 2218642.1)

Applies to:

Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 10.3 and later
IBM AIX on POWER Systems (64-bit)

Symptoms

Application running on Weblogic Server shows high cpu and has performance issue intermittently .  Using "ps -mp [pid] -o THREAD" and "kill -3 [pid]" shows the thread occupying high cpu like below.

Many threads with similar stack are waiting lock "sun/misc/URLClassPath@xxx/xxx" in blocked status.

 

 

 

Changes

 Have implemented Xerces classes for application.
