Symptoms

Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 11g 11.1.1.7.0 intermittent error related to dynamic groups:

netscape.ldap.LDAPException: error result (1); Dynamic group member update failed.; Operations error
LDAP: error code 1 - Dynamic group cache update failed

Or:

ORA-31202: DBMS_LDAP: LDAP client/server error: Operations error. Dynamic group member update failed.

Dynamic group entries may still get updated correctly, although dbms_ldap jobs may stop processing the rest of the code.
