Weblogic Restart Fails if "Principal Equals Case Insensitive" Option is Checked (Doc ID 2222098.1)

Symptoms

After setting 'Principal equals case insensitive' to true via wl console the following error occurs when starting the managed server in WebLogic Server 12.1.3

<Critical> <WebLogicServer> <BEA-000386> <Server subsystem failed. Reason: A MultiException has 2 exceptions.
They are:
1. java.lang.SecurityException: [Security:090398]Invalid Subject:principals=[<WLS Server MS1>]
2. java.lang.IllegalStateException: Unable to perform operation: post construct on
weblogic.management.mbeanservers.compatibility.internal.CompatibilityMBeanServerService

Changes

Enabling the Principal Equals Case Insensitive

Login into wl console>>Domain name >>Security>>general>>Advance>>Principal Equals Case Insensitive
