BPM Workspace 12c login error, 'Manager Name Could Not Be Resolved For {0} In Configuration {1}'
(Doc ID 2226349.1)
Last updated on SEPTEMBER 09, 2022
Applies to:
Oracle Business Process Management Suite - Version 12.2.1.1.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
You will see the following error in the logs, even when the manager field for the 'userId' is specified correctly and the object (the manager) exists in the organization. The manager for user '<userId>' cannot be found:
The manager attribute in AD stores the DN: Manager attribute. SOA also requires the DN: How BPM User Attributes Should be Mapped to Existing LDAP Attributes (<Note 1932542.1>).
The issue, in this case is that although the manager existed, it was not found when applying the user filter the customer had specified to restrict access to BPM (and SOA) in the WLS configuration.
