Unable to See Column Attributes from a Reverse-engineered View Under Model in ODI 12c Designer (Doc ID 2228906.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 28, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version 12.1.2.0.0 to 12.2.1.2.6 [Release 12c]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In order to reverse-engineer a synonym and be able to view its columns, the 'includeSynonyms' property must be added to the JDBC connection of the Oracle data server, under the 'Physical Architecture' of the Topology tab.

After doing this, now none of the column attributes from a reverse-engineered Oracle DB view under Model in ODI Designer that is reverse-engineered from the same data server are visible

It is possible to 'View Data' just fine, but nothing shows up in the "Attributes" accordion of the new data store.
