After applying WLS Patch Set Update 22.214.171.124.161018 (Oct 2016) or higher, a custom security provider which uses JASPIC stopped working.
With the new patch set update, the principal will not be set after a successful login. Accessing it, for example with:
will only get NULL for principal.
