Principal Is NULL After Successful Authentication on Custom JASPIC Security Provider

After applying WLS Patch Set Update or higher, a custom security provider which uses JASPIC stopped working. With the new patch set update, the principal will not be set after a successful login. Accessing it, for example with:

will only get NULL for principal.
