Last updated on FEBRUARY 16, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 10.1.4.5.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Is it possible to NOT have ALT tag generated for Image Type Element?  All Image Type Elements generated in SS automatically generates a standard alt tag, derived from the Title of the image (ddoctitle), by design.

Example:

  1. Navigate to an image: https://www.xxl.com/xxx/xxxxxx/xxxxx/index.html
  2. View the source of the page
  3. Note the ALT is generated as:
    <img src="/ucm/groups/public/@xx/@public/documents/webasset/xxxxx.jpg" alt="<title of image>"
