How to Use '<' and '>' Characters in KEY_LDAP_FILTER of UserIdentificationPlugin

(Doc ID 2235850.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 21, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Access Manager - Version to [Release 11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

In OAM Console in UserIdentificationPlugin configuration page  characters '<' and '>' are not allowed in the field KEY_LDAP_FILTER.
For example, if using (&(uid={KEY_USERNAME})(value < 5)) as filter, getting error:

"Error: Input String is not valid
The input string should not contain invalid characters."

This is a known limitation of oamconsole which will be fixed as part of ER 25024203.

How to overcome this limitation?
