Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Default date format in ServerLog is changed on WLS 12.2.1.1.0 with Japanese locale.

WLS 12.2.1.0.0:

<2017/02/23 10時35分44秒 JST>

* 時 is 時, it means hour.
* 分 is分, it means minute.
* 秒 is 秒, it means second.

With Japanese Locale, above characters are glyph of KANJI.

With Chinese locale, 时 is used 时 that means hour, min and sec are using same glyph with Japanese locale.

WLS 12.2.1.1.0 and 12.2.1.2.0:

<2017/02/27, 11:04:24,254 午前 JST>

* 午前 is 午前 (it means AM)

It seems locale's delimiter is not honored and milliseconds are added.
