How to Import Pre-Encoded Password Attribute Value in OUD (Doc ID 2242156.1)

Last updated on MARCH 21, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Unified Directory - Version 11.1.2.3.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Due to migration from OID to OUD, there are data inconsistencies in OUD. The pwdChangedTime attribute is not set for any of the users and that is causing issues with application logic.

Consider the requirement to update the entire user base with a value for the operational attribute "pwdChangedTime".

Followed the documentation for import-ldif -

Example A-95 Importing Operational Attributes Only
Example A-96 Importing Selected User and Operational Attributes

The requirement is to add pwdChangedTime attribute in OUD but could not add the pwdChangedTime attribute directly. Whenever adding the pre-encoded password attribute value for those users then the pwdChangedTime operational attribute will be added automatically.
