The Request Number Is Empty for Auto Retried Provisioning Tasks (Doc ID 2243840.1)

Symptoms

One has configured the auto retry option your provisioning task, e.g.

 

 

 

When the provisioning task fails, its status is changed to Rejected and in the Open Tasks page of the OIM, the rejected task displays the request number. But then if the rejected task is retried, the provisioning task no longer displays the request number on the Open Tasks page:

It appears that OIM stores the request number just for the first execution, but does not store the request number for retried tasks.

Steps to reproduce this scenario:

- For any applicaiton, configure the auto retry option for the operation to Add Entitlement.
- Request any entitlement of that application and ensure the operation will fail.
- Then go to Open Tasks to confirm you have a rejected task and that it contains the request number
- After execution of the first retry, check the Open Tasks again and the new rejected task does not contain the request number.
