(Doc ID 2244559.1)
Last updated on DECEMBER 04, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 12.2.1.2.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
DNS alias has been created and the ListenAddress of the AdminServer is set to "console.<domainname>". So the Weblogic console is accessible using http://console.<domainname>:<adminPort>/console.
But when navigating to the servers page in the domain structure, it gives the error:
404 Not Found
<
When using the console with the IP address instead, the issue is not seen.
Also, when test by adding DNS alias into the /etc/hosts file:
admincls.<domainname> dns-alias
and access the WebLogic console with http://admincls.<domainname>:<adminPort>/console, no issue is seen.
