How To Configure Kerberos To Use The userPrincipalName (Doc ID 2245914.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 18, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 11.1.1.6.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

It's desired that user log into the WebCenter Content server using their Active Directory userPrincipalName and not the sAMAccountName which is more typical.

This may be required if the WCC domain is configured with multiple AD providers.

It can be configured as per the steps in KM:

How To Use the User Principal Name for Active Directory Users as the Login ID to WebCenter Content <Note: 1376982.1>

The domain is also configured for kerberos.

When the provider is configured for the userPrincipalName, users are getting prompted to log in and not going directly to the WCC page.

This note will cover tasks in addition to <Note: 1376982.1>, how to configure kerberos to work with the userPrincipalName attribute.
