How to Configure Agent for Communication with Oracle GoldenGate Studio

I have a question about how GoldenGate Studio communicates with GG Monitor Agent.
In our POC environment we have GoldenGate Server and GoldenGate Studio installed on one Windows Server. The Monitor Agent was installed on the servers hosting source and target databases and GoldenGate Instances. Per Instruction manual, the Monitor agent was configured to work with the Monitor Server.
With this configuration, we were able to connect to the DB and OGG Instances from within the GG Studio.
The Question is whether GG Studio would be able to connect to the DB and OGG Instances if the Monitor Agent is configured to work with the OEM Plugin. When we tested this with one server that has a OGG instance, GG Studio connection failed. We are hoping to be able to monitor all the OGG Instances through a OEM Plugin. So, the question is how to ensure we are able to use Monitor Agent from both, GG studio and OEM plug-in.
