Goal

As part of the 12c Remote Satellite Server (RSS) installation process, you need to setup the required schemas for the RSS install.

Back in 11g it's not required to setup any database access for 11g RSS, and this has now changed for 12c RSS. This KM Document provides clarification on this topic.

NOTE: An Enhancement Request (ER) - <Bug 25697097> - 12c RSS Install Requires Access to Database Which Isn't Ideal - is logged for this behavior change.
