The Oradiag Directory Created In The OS User's Home Directory Issue (Doc ID 2254389.1)

Symptoms

After installing FMW 12.2.1.1.0, with Database on a completely different server, oradiag directory gets created in server where FMW is installed.
Even after removing the oradiag directory manually, it gets recreated after AdminServer restart.

Below strace shows the details on oradiag creation

 

 

Steps to Reproduce the Issue:

1. Install JDK 1.8.0_102.

2. Install FMW Infrastructure 12.2.1.1.0

3. Run config.sh to create a domain

Select New Domain

Select Oracle Enterprise Manager - Restricted JRF.

Set Domain Mode to Production.

4. Select to configure only the Administration Server and Node Manager.

AdminServer: accept the defaults.

Node Manager: accept the defaults.

5. Start the node manager.

6. Start the Admin Server.
