ODI Legacy Import of a 12.1.3 Work Repository into 12.2.1.x Results in Missing Implementions of User Functions (Doc ID 2254572.1)

Last updated on JUNE 16, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version 12.2.1.1.0 to 12.2.1.2.6 [Release 12c]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After importing a Work Repository that was previously exported from Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12.1.3 into ODI 12.2.1.x, the implementations of the User Functions are missing. It is expected that the implementations of User Functions would be included in the 12.2.1.x mappings after the import.

It can be reproduced with the following steps:

  1. Export Work Repository A (version 12.1.3 ). The mappings included in the Work Repository should have user functions and implementations set, i.e. "Oracle".
  2. Create new ODI Work Repository B (version 12.2.1)
  3. Import the exported Work Repository A into new Work Repository B - incomplete
--Note that the User Function is missing the Implementation.
