OVD 11g Configuration (e.g., ACLs / ACIs) Copied from Another OVD Server Does not Take Effect. Permissions and/or Search Results Do Not Work the Same Way As in the Source OVD Server. (Doc ID 2254992.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 25, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Virtual Directory - Version 11.1.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Using Oracle Virtual Directory (OVD) 11g configuration files, such as acls.os_xml, from a working server on to another OVD server.

Even though the config files look the same, the new OVD server access controls do not work the same way as in the source working OVD server, e.g., ldapsearch results are different between the two servers.
