Oracle GoldenGate - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goldengate FORMATSQL gets data in hexa-decimal format in the trail files.

Note:-FORMATSQL parameter when specified output data in external SQL format, instead of the default Oracle GoldenGate canonical format. FORMATSQL generates SQL statements (INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE) that can be applied to both SQL and Enscribe tables by utilities other than Oracle GoldenGate Replicat.

Eg: SQL with Chinese strings:

UTF-8 Byte(s)  Looks like
e8 bf 98              还
e6 b2 a1              没
e5 a5 bd              好
e5 90 97              吗
