Last updated on FEBRUARY 21, 2023

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

There was setting custom authentication module that uses the OOTB AdaptiveAuthenticationPlugin. In the AdaptiveAuthenticationPlugin step, there is a set custom parameters to be used during authentication. It appears system error message when it is trying to authenticate and it was discovered that the module is using the default parameters for the plugin instead of the custom parameters.

For example, in the AdaptiveAuthenticationPlugin step of the module it has set the userstore to be "APPSIDSTORE." However when OAM does OTP the plugin is searching for the account in the "UserIdentityStore1" userstore, which is the default parameter. Changing the default parameters allow to authenticate successfully, however this will not fulfill some requirements. It is need it to be able to use the custom parameters set in the module because there is necessity to create other modules that use the same plugin but using different parameters.
