Last updated on DECEMBER 26, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle GoldenGate - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

1.Our environment is all ORACLE DBs
Is Integrated Replicat faster than Coordinated Replicat?

2.Can we control the amount of threads allocated ?

How do we monitor each of the threads of IR and know if it is busy, waiting, idle ?

3.Can you supply a query that we can use to check on IR threads?
4.Out goal of switching to Coordinated Mode is driven by our large amount of transactions.
We hope to use threads to increase parallelism in Coordinated Mode and increase the throughput of Apply.

Since we can not go from Integrated to Coordinated directly can we do this
Integrated to Classic
Classic to Coordinated

a. Can I alter the existing replicat to COORDINATED and just restart it. If yes please give me the alter syntax or the correct parameters.
b. If I need a brand new replicat what params do I use?
c. how do I get the new replicat to start at the correct SCN?
