Symptoms

GoldenGate is installed on a Server different from where the database is.

A common database user was created to connect to Root Container and all the required privileges were granted to that user.

Attempting to register the extract process at Root Container database fails due to:


ERROR OGG-08221 Cannot register or unregister EXTRACT EXTTEST because of the following SQL error: OCI Error 40,201.
