Symptoms

This note is applicable to Fusion Application Integration with Oracle Document Transfer Utility Tool (ODTU) and other custom Java web service clients.

When attempting to upload files using the ODTU tool, the following error occurs:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Upload files using the ODTU tool.
  2. Specify the parameters --username as "<username>" and the --password parameter containing a special character $ or # in it.

Changes

 The --password parameter contains a special character $ or # in it.
