How to Create a Database Search Button and Function on a WebCenter Forms Recognition Verifier Form (Doc ID 2269305.1)

Goal

Is there a way to add a button to lookup the Employee from ERP system database?  This would be similar to a Vendor Search.  This does not appear to be useful when using the fnlookup function used in Vendor search, as the search window returns no results.
