Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

There is an issue linked to the WebLogic Patch DEM4 and UIAL on Windows Server 2012 R2.

After applying DEM4 or UIAL on WebLogic 10.3.6, there is a problem when trying to edit/delete an existing or add a new security provider.

To see the described situation on your own, please follow the next steps :

a) Go to the WebLogic console with DEM4 installed, choose option , then click on "Lock & Edit".
b) Then choose one of existing providers for example DefaultAuthenticator.
c) Choose option and confirm with.

At this point, y will get an error.

When DEM4 is uninstalled, this same editing/deleting/creating providers works fine.

NB: The described problem appears only when WebLogic is installed on Windows Server 2012 R2.

It is also noticed, that the problem is caused by the Oracle_Home\wlserver_10.3\server\lib\schema\weblogic-domain-binding.jar file, which is one of files modified by DEM4.
When the file weblogic-domain-binding.jar is restored to the original (not patched) version, the described problem does not exist.
