Information in this document applies to any platform.
You have a customer that wants to export BAM projects with security options and adding specific groups with read permissions over these objects.
According to "BAM 12c: BAM security configuration is lost after Export / Import (Doc ID 2082578.1) ", using "owner" and "preserveowner" options will work if customer is trying to import/export project in the same environment.
However, if your customer is trying to import and export in other environments, this will not work with "owner" and "preserveowner" options. For e.g developers develop dashboards with their personal users and they grant permissions to specific well known groups. Those groups exist in all environments, personal users don't. Customer wants to import projects keeping the permissions, not the ownership.
The steps are going to fail if the groups exist in the target environment but the user that developed the objects don't.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to BAM composer.
2. Try to import/export project using different options.
3. Observe the issue.
